Cody Trestrail
Cody ist seit 30 Jahren im großartigen Feuerwehrdienst tätig und legte seinen Eid erstmals 1995 bei einer kleinen Kombinationseinheit im Bundesstaat Washington ab.
Er folgte seinem Traum und hatte das Glück, beim FDNY zu arbeiten, wo er der Ladder 119 in Brooklyn zugeteilt war, danach beim Special Operations Command („SOC“) in Squad 1, ebenfalls in Brooklyn.
Er verließ das FDNY, um den Fokus auf seine Familie zu legen, und kehrte in seine Heimat zurück. Dort beendete er vor Kurzem seinen 15-jährigen Einsatzdienst auf dem hinteren Trittbrett von Portland Fire Engine 31 und verabschiedete sich in den Ruhestand.
Er bleibt im Feuerwehrdienst aktiv, besucht Fortbildungen und Konferenzen, ist aktives Mitglied bei FOOLS und engagiert sich ehrenamtlich in seiner Heimatgemeinde beim Corvallis (MT) Rural Fire District.
Er ist Gründer und Ausbilder der Trainingsgruppe Brothers In Battle, LLC und hat national sowie international Vorträge gehalten und praktische Schulungen durchgeführt. Außerdem gründete er die Firemanship Conference.
Cody ist seit über 25 Jahren glücklich mit seiner wunderbaren Frau Andrea verheiratet. Sie haben zwei wundervolle Töchter, zwei großartige Schwiegersöhne und einen tollen Enkel.
Cody has 30 years in this great Fire Service, first taking the Oath in 1995 at a small combination department in Washington State. He then followed his dream and was blessed to work for the FDNY, where he was assigned to Ladder 119 in Brooklyn, then Special Operations Command “SOC”, where he was assigned to Squad 1, also in Brooklyn.
He left the FDNY to put his family first and returned home where he recently retired from the backstep of Portland Fire Engine 31, after 15 years. He remains active in the fire service taking classes, attending conferences, is an active FOOLS member and volunteers his time in his home community with Corvallis (MT) Rural Fire District.
He is the founder and an Instructor with the training group Brothers In Battle, LLC and has lectured and taught hands on training nationally and internationally. He is also the founder of Firemanship Conference. He's been happily married for over 25 years to his incredible wife Andrea, they have two beautiful daughters, two awesome son in laws and an amazing Grandson.
